IR Optical Window plate

--Calcium fluoride is used to manufacture optical components such as windows and lenses, used in thermal imaging systems,spectroscopy, telescopes, and excimer lasers.

--It is transparent over a broad range from ultraviolet (UV) to infrared (IR) frequencies. Its low refractive index reduces the need for anti-reflection coatings. Its insolubility in water is convenient as well. 

--Calcium fluoride is often used in spectroscopic windows and lenses due to its high transmission from 200nm to 7μm. 

--Its low absorption and high damage threshold makes it a popular choice for excimer laser optics.

Magnesium Fluoride (MgF2) Window plate

--MgF2 windows plate have excellent broadband transmission from the deep-UV to the mid-infrared. DUV transmission makes them ideal for use at the Hydrogen

--Lyman-alpha line and for UV radiation sources and receivers, as well as excimer laser applications. 

--MgF2 is a rugged material resistant to chemical etching, laser damage, and mechanical and thermal shock. It has a Knoop Hardness of 415 and index of refraction of 1.38.
