The glue-type zero-order wave plate is formed by glued two multi-stage wave plates whose optical axes are perpendicular to each other, so that the phase retardation of one of the sheets is cancelled by the other, and the actual phase change is caused by the difference in thickness. It is therefore suitable for the production of wave plates of any wavelength and phase difference.
